Vice chancellor chaired the 9th meeting of Syndicate

University of Turbat’s 9th meeting of syndicate was held on 20th February 2020 at university’s meeting room which was chaired by vice chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir. The meeting was also attended by the honourable members of syndicate including UoT’s Registrar Ghulam Farooq Baloch, dean faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Abdul Saboor Baloch, dean faculty of Law Prof. Dr. Gul Hassan, dean faculty of Science and Engineering Dr. Haneef Ur Rahman, LUAWMS Associate Professor Dr. Manzoor Ahmed, Senior Advocate Mehrab Khan Gichki, UoT’s controller Examinations Tanveer Ahmed and director finance Syed Shahbek. After recitation few verses from Holey Quran, the UoT’s registrar presented the agenda of the meeting before the house for deliberation and decision.

Speaking on this occasion vice chancellor said that due to conducting the meeting of statuary bodies well in time and functioning of statuary bodies in accordance with the university act, the UoT was being counted among the best emerging institutions of higher education in the country. Besides resolving various academic and administrative matters after healthy deliberation and discussion, the house also confirmed the minutes of 8th meeting of Syndicate, 10th meeting of academic council, 10th meeting of Finance and Planning Committee and 6th meeting of HRD Committee. Besides HRD Scholarship policy and nomination of a member in Finance and Planning Committee, the august body also resolved the matters related to approval of the contents of university’s annual report 2019. Vice chancellor appreciated the unprecedented contributions of honourable members of university’s statuary bodies in the efforts for rapid progress of the university in short time. The honourable members of the syndicate expressed their satisfaction that keeping university’s interest and stability on priority, the important academic and administrative matters of the institution are being resolved according to the decisions of the statuary bodies which will open the new pathways for the further growth. “As part of its social responsibilities, environment friendly initiatives have been taken in the university under Green Pakistan and Green UoT program, as well as the university’s students and employees are being provided with best facilities with in available resources.” Vice chancellor informed the house. At the end vice chancellor presented shields to the honorable members of the syndicate.
