VC UoT inaugurated the first academic year in Panjgur Campus

The first academic session has started at Panjgur Campus of the University of Turbat from 15th September 2020. On this occasion, a prestigious ceremony was organized at Panjgur Campus. The chief guest of the event Vice Chancellor of the University of Turbat Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir inaugurated the academic activities of the first batch.

The opening ceremony was graced by Campus Coordinator and Dean Faculty of Legal Education Prof. Dr. Gul Hassan, Heads of different teaching departments Assistant professor Dr. Iftekhar Ahmed, Dr. Hamza Baloch, teachers, administrative staff, and students in good number. Special measures were taken during the opening ceremony and classes to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.

Speaking to the opening ceremony Vice Chancellor of University of Turbat Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir said that “it is a good sign and positive start towards development of higher education in this region that with the start of first academic session of Panjgur Campus, more than three hundred students will acquire quality education in four degree programs under the supervision of qualified teachers.”

He said, today is a historic day for the region, this day marks the beginning of a pleasant journey that will also leave a positive effects on our future generation and the people of the whole region including Panjgur, will benefit from the outcomes of this institution. Vice Chancellor said that he is pleased to witness that from its beginning, the Panjgur Campus has reached a point where campuses usually takes years to reach.

He said “Universities are made up of three basic elements: students, faculty and administration, but the most important element is the students, and other two elements work together to make the future of students brighter and prosperous.

He congratulated all the students who were becoming part of this institution with the hope that by acquiring quality education with commitment and devotion, Students always play a positive and constructive role in the development and prosperity of their families , region and nation.

On the occasion, the Vice Chancellor Dr. Sabir thanked all the volunteers, contributors, teachers and administrative staff who have been providing services to the campus from first day and appreciated their efforts for the development of the campus.

Sharing views on the occasion Prof. Dr. Gul Hassan wholeheartedly welcomed the students and said that the establishment of a university campus in Panjgur will not only be an educational revolution for the people of Panjgur but it will also be a milestone in the field of higher education for the people of Washuk, Kharan and other nearby areas of the Panjgur.

Campus Director said that to see the successful start of Panjgur Campus with inspiring and encouraging manner, now we strongly hope that in the times to come it will have a distinct identity in the field of higher education which will brighten the name of this region.

He said that with the establishment of Panjgur Campus, the University Administration under the leadership of the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir has provided all the facilities to the campus which include campus library, latest books of all courses, state-of-the-art computer lab with all facilities, multimedia, IT equipment and other facilities which are considered important and necessary for acquiring modern education in the 21st century.

At the end of the opening ceremony, the Vice Chancellor visited various parts of the campus, including the classrooms, library, and computer lab to inspect the facilities available there. He expressed satisfaction over the facilities available for teaching and learning at campus.

Meanwhile, pamphlets based on the code of conduct and precautionary measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus were distributed among the students by the Student Affairs Cell of Panjgur Campus.
