Up-gradation of Gwadar campus into full-fledged university: Justice (R) Shakeel Ahmed Baloch

Member Syndicate of University of Turbat (UoT) Justice (R) Shakeel Ahmed Baloch said that despite very limited resources, the UoT’s Gwadar Campus was providing quality education to the student of Gwadar and its surrounding areas. Now it is the need of time that Gwadar Campus should be upgraded into a full-fledged university as soon as possible to cater the educational needs of this region.
He expressed these views during a visit to UoT’s Gwadar Campus on 30th December, 2020. Campus Director Ijaz Ahmed, In-charge Computer Science Department Muhammad Akram, In-charge Commerce Department Mujahid Hussain, In-charge Management Science Department Ubaid Ali and Incharge Education Department Mahira Khan were also present on the occasion.
He said that HEC, federal and provincial government should pay more attention on the development of educational institutions in the port city for enabling the people of the areas to set on driving seat of the project under CPEC.
Campus Director Ijaz Ahmed briefed him regarding academic and infrastructural development of the campus.
Justice (R) said that he was really very impressed by the dedicated administrative and teaching staff for their contributions in promoting education in this far flung area of the country. He appreciated the services of UoT’s VC Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir and his team for the achievements accomplished by the UoT in short span of time. He also visited library, IT room and seminar hall of the campus. The Campus Director presented him a shield on behalf of VC UoT.
