VC UoT holds meeting with faculty members of Gwadar Campus

The Vice Chancellor (VC) University of Turbat (UoT) Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir has said that the establishment of UoT’s Gwadar Campus was an important development towards the promotion of higher education in the port city and its surrounding areas. People of the areas should take maximum advantage of this opportunity.
He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting held in UoT’s Gwadar Campus on 1st January 2021.
The meeting was also attended by the Campus Director Ijaz Ahmed, Incharge Computer Science Department Muhammad Akram, Incharge Commerce Department Mujahid Hussain, Incharge Management Sciences Department Ubaid Ali, and Incharge Education Department Mahira Khan. Besides the matters related to the academic challenges faced by the campus due to the Coronavirus outbreak, the meeting also reviewed the progress on LMS online classes and other educational and administrative matters.
VC said that the dream of development cannot be turned into the realities without promoting quality education and the establishment of Gwadar University can play an important role in involving the people of the region in the race for development, therefore, the establishment of Gwadar University should be made a reality soon so that the youth of Gwadar, after getting a quality education, can have a chance to set on the driving seat of the development projects of CPEC.
He said the establishment of Gwadar Campus is the first step towards the establishment of Gwadar University. “Despite the challenges, Gwadar Campus has accomplished great achievements in a short span of time and now it is being counted as one among the best campuses in the province and the country, which depicts the tireless efforts and inclination of the campus administration, faculty members, students and the people of the area toward education.” He added.
Vice Chancellor assured to use all available resources in resolving the problems of Gwadar Campus for promoting quality education in this region.
He said efforts were being made to provide modern facilities to the students and teachers to further expand the educational and research activities at Gwadar Campus for which we have the patronage and support of Chancellor/Governor Balochistan, Federal & Provincial Government, and HEC.
Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir said that “We are determined not to compromise on bringing innovation in teaching methods and to maintain the quality at all cost for which the efforts of the campus administration and faculty members are commendable.”
He said that the computer lab and library will be equipped with modern facilities on par of modern requirements.
VC expressed his best wishes for New Year and hoped that this year would be a better one for education.
