All campuses of UoT except Panjgur campus to reopen from 1st Feb

Vice Chancellor University of Turbat (UoT) Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir said that education was the key to achieve the targets of development and prosperity and the University of Turbat was entirely committed to providing quality education to its students.
He expressed these views while presiding over a consultative meeting regarding the reopening of the university held in the committee room of the university here on 19th January 2021.
The meeting thoroughly reviewed the preparations and necessary arrangements for the reopening of the university from 1st February 2021.
The meeting decided that classes for all academic batches except new batch of spring 2021 semester in main campus Turbat and Gwadar campus will be held from 1st February 2021 to 10th February 2021 in order to complete the remaining parts of the courses, while the final examinations of fall 2020 semester will be conducted from 11th February to 18th February 2021 continuously. It was also decided in the meeting that new session spring 2021 will be started from 11th February 2021 in UoT’s main campus and Gwadar campus only. While classes in the Panjgur campus will be commenced from 1st March 2021.
The meeting also decided that observance of standard operating procedures (SoPs) and other preventive measures including wearing face-mask will be mandatory for faculty, staff and students during academic activities and examinations in order to stop the spread of Coronavirus.
Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir instructed the concerned quarters to ensure the implementation of all sops and precautionary measures in all campuses of the university. He said that the health of the students, faculty and staff will be the first priority of his administration.
The meeting was attended by UoT’s Registrar Ghulam Farooq, Dean Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Prof Dr. Abdul Saboor, Controller of Examinations Tanveer Ahmed, Chairperson English Department Durdana Rafeeq, Chairman Economics Department Begagr Gichki, Chairman Computer Science Department Mukhtar Hussain, Chairman Law Department Mehmood Amir, faculty member Changeez Ahmed, Abdul Jabbar, Waris Hussain, PSO to Vice Chancellor Chaker Hyder. Other members attended the meeting through video link.
