Program arranged to welcome freshers in Gwadar Campus

The senior students of the Gwadar Campus of the University of Turbat arranged a program at the seminar hall of the Campus on 18th March 2021 to welcome fresh students (Batch 2021-24) to the campus.
The program was chaired by the Campus Director Mr. Ijaz Ahmed. The event was also attended by the faculty members, admin staff, and students in large numbers.
The event was decorated with heart-touching performances by the students which include Songs, Poetry, Quiz Competition, Drama Activities, Speeches, and Cake cutting Ceremony.
The ceremony was organized and sponsored by the students of batch-4 from the department of Management Sciences, Commerce, Computer Science, and Education in order to pay a warm welcome to the newcomers.
The program was started with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Ms. Tahira Usman a student from BBA 3rd semester. Mr. Muhammad Awais and Mr. Muhammad Ibrahim were the stars of the stage in the first half of the event while the second half was hosted by Ms.Jaweria Nabi Bakhsh and Mr. Waleed Wafa.
With the start of the event, the fresher’s received a warm welcome by the students and staff of the campus. Mr. Azhar Baloch from 1st semester performed Naat, Ms Naeema and Mr. Aswad Baloch displayed their talents by singing songs while Mr. Waleed and Mr. Faraz amused the audience with poetry. The Quiz Competition was one of the best segment of the ceremony which was moderated by the students of 3rd semester namely Ms. Saima Usman and Ms. Mahnoor.
In his speech Campus Director, Ijaz Ahmed formally welcomed the students of the fresh batch to the campus. Addressing the students he said that “youth without education are like weapons without bullets and it is high time for the local youth to avail maximum benefits from this university campus by acquiring quality education from here”. Reminding the services of the former & founder vice-chancellor of the university Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir, he said that his services and contributions for the development of Turbat University would always be remembered. In order to pay tributes to his services, the students and staff raised up from their seats and put their hands to gather for giving a huge round of applause. The Campus Director, faculty & admin staff, and students also expressed their best wishes for the in-coming vice-chancellor Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad, and assured their full support for the further development of the institution. At the end of the event, the cake cutting ceremony was held.
