UoT’s faculty accomplishes great achievement

The faculty member of the University of Turbat Dr. Riaz Ahmed (PI), Assistant Professor, Department of Management Sciences, and his team which includes Dr. Adeel Ahmed, Dr. Waseem Barkat, and Mr. Rehmat Ullah accomplished a great achievement. They were awarded a research grant worth Rs. 3.258 Million in the month of March 2021 under the “RASTA Competitive Grants Program (CGP) for Policy-Oriented Research (Round 1). According to the details, the Research Advisory Committee (RAC) of RASTA-PIDE management has approved the research project titled “An Impact Evaluation of Government of Pakistan Scholarships on Students’ Academic Performance” submitted by varsity’s research scholars. The duration of the research project would be 12 months.
‘Research for Social Transformation and Advancement’ (RASTA CGP) is a project funded under the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) of the Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, the Government of Pakistan, which is being managed and monitored by the Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE), Islamabad.
Congratulating UoT’s faculty members for this achievement, the vice-chancellor of the University of Turbat Professor Dr. Jan Muhammad has said that his administration would always encourage and support the faculty to be excellent in their research work and in extending collaboration with other research scholars associated with both national and international research networks such as RASTA PIDE.
