Political Science Department’s Third Board of Studies Meeting

The Department of Political Science at the University of Turbat (UoT) held its third meeting of the departmental Board of Studies on October 30, 2023, under the chairmanship of Mr. Changiz Ahmed, Chairman of the Political Science Department at UoT. Besides other members of the Board, two expert members, Dr. Mohammad Ali, an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Karachi, and Dr. Asghar Ali Dashti, Chairman of the Department of International Relations at the Federal Urdu University Karachi, also attended the meeting via video link.
The Board thoroughly deliberated on the restructuring and updating of the curriculum for the BS program in Political Science. New changes were suggested in the scheme of studies for the BS in Political Science to align the program with the evolving needs of the students and the demands of the job market.
The Board members carefully examined the curriculum for the BS in Political Science and the proposed changes. They compared the courses of the UoT program with those of the BS programs offered at other reputable universities in Pakistan.
Finally, the meeting arrived at a consensus decision to make certain modifications to the BS in Political Science curriculum in response to the needs of the time and society. The external members and subject experts appreciated the efforts and commitment of the faculty members in UoT’s Department of Political Science for suggesting significant and market-oriented amendments to the BS program curriculum.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks and gratitude extended by Mr. Changiz Ahmed, Chairman of the Political Science Department, to all the members for their valuable input and time.
