UoT’s Vice Chancellor called on Hon’ble Governor Balochistan

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Turbat (UoT) Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad along with Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Mansoor Ahmed met the Governor Balochistan/ Chancellor of Public Sector Universities Shaikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail in Quetta on 12th June 2024 and discussed various matters pertaining to University and higher education sector in the province. The Vice-Chancellor briefed the Governor/ Chancellor about the overall achievements, academic progress, and infrastructure development of the University. Governor Balochistan emphasized taking concrete steps towards financial self-sustainability and academic progress, particularly uplifting the HEC Annual Performance Scorecard. The Vice-Chancellor assured the Governor/ Chancellor that sincere and collaborative efforts are being made in the foregoing regard. The Vice-Chancellor also presented the rule book of the University of Turbat incorporating the newly approved Statutes and Rules of the University. Governor Balochistan appreciated the Vice Chancellor for implementing comprehensive statutes and rules at the University of Turbat and also accentuated the essence of adopting uniformity in all aspects including rules in the Public Sector Universities of the province. The Vice-Chancellor also invited the Hon’ble Governor/ Chancellor to visit the University of Turbat who assented to visit Turbat City at the earliest time possible.
