UoT Hosts Orientation Session on Higher Education Opportunities

An orientation session on "Provision of Higher Education Opportunities for the Students of Balochistan and Erstwhile FATA" was conducted by the Directorate of Student Affairs, University of Turbat (UoT) in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) on 4th October 2024 at UoT.
Mr. Ganguzar Baloch UoT’s registrar, Dr. Muhammad Yaseen, Chairman of the Sociology Department, faculty members, and students from the University of Turbat and other educational institutions attended the session.
The purpose of the session was to raise awareness among students about scholarships and higher education opportunities available for the youth of Pakistan, particularly those from Balochistan and erstwhile FATA.
Mr. Afzal Ahmed and Mr. Bahram Jan from the HEC served as resource persons, highlighting the government's and HEC’s commitment to providing higher education opportunities to students from underprivileged regions by covering all education expenses, including tuition fees, hostel charges, living allowances, and other costs.
Mr. Changiz Ahmed, Chairman of the Department of Political Science was the focal person of the event. On behalf of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad, he extended gratitude to the representatives of the HEC for conducting a session to raise awareness regarding higher education opportunities for the UoT students and youth of this region.
