UoT Observes Poster Competition in connection with World Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Awareness Week

In connection with World Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Awareness Week, the Green Youth Movement (GYM) Club of the University of Turbat (UoT), organized a poster competition on November 21, 2024. The theme of the awareness week this year was ‘‘The Overlapping Crises: Climate Change and the Escalation of the Antimicrobial Resistance’’.
The objective of this competition was to raise awareness about the intersection of climate change and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) to encourage interdisciplinary understanding among students to foster creativity in presenting scientific information.
Thirty teams, each consisting of two students from different departments, presented their hand-made posters. The competition begins with an opening talk by experts on climate change and AMR.
The posters were judged on the following key concepts: Introduction, Key Linkages, Case Studies, Future Challenges, and Call to Action.
After deliberate proceedings of the event, judges appreciated the efforts made by all participating teams and announced the winners and wished better luck to the rest of the teams in future events.
