IBLC at UoT Hosts Grand Farewell Ceremony for Graduating Students

A grand farewell ceremony for graduating BS Balochi students of the Institute of Balochi Language and Culture (IBLC) at the University of Turbat (UoT) was organized at UoT.
The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. A large number of faculty members and students from IBLC and other university departments participated in the event. Students showcased various literary and cultural performances at the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Tahir Hakeem, a faculty member of IBLC, congratulated the students and the organizers for arranging such a memorable event. He highlighted that it is a tradition of the university to organize welcome and farewell programs annually, and this event with literary and cultural performances further strengthened this tradition.
He also highlighted the significant role of academic and extracurricular activities in promoting an intellectual, creative, and learning environment in universities. Dr. Tahir Hakeem hoped that under the leadership of the new Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Gul Hasan, more initiatives would be taken to enhance the academic, research, and literary atmosphere at Turbat University. Additionally, he also remarked on IBLC’s distinctive role in not only offering education in Balochi language, literature, and culture but also exploring various facets of world literature.
The event featured a mushaira where IBLC teacher Dr. Ghafoor Shad presented his poetry. The program concluded with a music session, where performances by IBLC student Aamir Bashir, former students and young Balochi singer Sajid Qadir, and IBLC teacher Dr. Sadiq Saba captivated the audience.
The organizing committee for the event was supervised by IBLC faculty member Tariq Raheem.
