Turbat University Launches Youth Empowerment Initiatives Under Uraan Pakistan Program

Under the special directives of the Vice Chancellor of the University of Turbat (UoT, Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan, a series of activities is being organized to equip students with digital skills and emerging technologies, enabling them to contribute to national development actively.

As part of these efforts, the Directorate of Student Affairs organized a session under the Uraan Pakistan Program on the Young Peace and Development Corps (YPDC) and the Youth Digital Hub (YDC) at the UoT, the Law Department, on September 25, 2025.

A large number of students attended the session. The university’s Director Public Relations, Ijaz Ahmed, was also present on the occasion.

During the session, office-bearers of the YPDC Turbat University Chapter, including President Mir Zangi, Vice President Waseema, General Secretary Fatima Nazir, Media Relations Officer Bakhtiar Rind, and Coordinator Musaddiq, briefed participants on the objectives of these platforms. They explained that through these initiatives, youth would have easier access to opportunities for employment, scholarships, internships, and fellowship programs in line with their interests and abilities.

In his message, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan praised the efforts of the Directorate of Student Affairs, noting that the skilled and digitally sound youth are the guarantee of a brighter future for Balochistan and Pakistan. He emphasized that fostering networking and digital competencies among students is essential for success in today’s rapidly changing world. He further stated that the University of Turbat, with the support of federal and provincial governments, is committed to enhancing students’ digital skills and empowering them to play leadership roles at the regional and national levels.

Addressing the session, Director Student Affairs, Chakar Hyder, reaffirmed that Turbat University will continue to organize professional activities and sessions under the Young Peace and Development Corps to ensure maximum benefit for students.
