Turbat University Hosts Awareness Session on OGDCL National Talent Hunt Program and Fully Funded Scholarship Program

The Directorate of Student Affairs at the University of Turbat hosted an awareness session on the OGDCL National Talent Hunt Program (NTHP) on January 28, 2026, in collaboration with Sukkur IBA University. Students from various departments attended the session.

During the session, Waqar Farooq, representative of IBA Sukkur, provided a detailed briefing on this fully funded scholarship program aimed at supporting youth from underprivileged areas of Pakistan. According to the IBA Sukkur representative, a total of 75 seats have been allocated for Balochistan, including students from Turbat, Panjgur, and Gwadar.
Candidates will be selected on a merit-cum-poverty basis and will be admitted to the Foundation Semester, after which they will pursue various BS/BE degree programs at Sukkur IBA University. The scholarship covers tuition fees, transportation charges, books, hostel accommodation, monthly stipends, and laptops for outstanding performers.

The last date to apply is February 7, 2026, while the entry test will be held on February 15, 2026. Students who completed their intermediate in 2023, 2024, or 2025 are eligible to apply. Director Student Affairs Chakar Hyder moderated the session.
