University of Turbat Completes PREE Cycle for IQA of Undergraduate Programs Under HEC PSG-2023 Framework.

The University of Turbat (UoT) has successfully completed the Program Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE) cycle for Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) of its undergraduate programs under the HEC PSG-2023 framework. The review process formally concluded with site visits conducted on May 14, 2026.

A total of twelve undergraduate programs were evaluated through separate Review Panels as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to strengthen academic quality and institutional effectiveness.

During the site visits, the Review Panels examined a wide range of academic and administrative evidence, including Self-Assessment Reports (SARs), program and course files, quality assurance and monitoring mechanisms, laboratory and library facilities and other academic support resources. The panels also held interactions with faculty members and students to evaluate teaching practices, learning outcomes and the overall academic environment.

At the conclusion of the visits, the Review Panels shared their observations and recommendations with the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan, and Director, Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC). The recommendations focused on enhancing student admissions and retention strengthening academic monitoring and advising systems, improving documentation and record management practices, expanding academic opportunities in emerging disciplines and further upgrading laboratory, library, digital, and internet facilities.

The Vice Chancellor appreciated the constructive feedback and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to implementing the recommendations for further strengthening academic quality. Director QEC, Dr. Riaz Ahmed acknowledged the support and cooperation of all stakeholders in ensuring the successful completion of the PREE cycle during the academic year 2025–26. He stated that the exercise reflects the university’s ongoing commitment to strengthening internal quality assurance systems and promoting continuous academic improvement.
