UoT Computer Science Students Undertake 9-Day Industrial Exposure Visit to Major Tech Hubs in Islamabad

Students of the Department of Computer Science, University of Turbat (UoT), led by faculty member Muhammad Asim, undertook a nine-day industrial exposure visit to Islamabad. The visit aimed to bridge academic learning with industrial software engineering practices, taking students to leading tech parks, startup incubators, and software development hubs in Islamabad.

During the visit, students interacted with development teams, platform engineers, and facility managers operating within key technology infrastructure. They also had the opportunity to experience the technology infrastructure, hosting capabilities, and ecosystem benefits offered by Software Technology Parks (STPs), as well as MVP acceleration strategies at the National Incubation Centre (NIC).

In his message, UoT Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan expressed gratitude to the Muhammad Akbar of the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), and to the management of the Khattak Sons (Pvt.) Limited (KSL), Software Technology Park (STP), National Incubation Centre (NIC), and Fazal Software Technology Park (FSTP) for facilitating students' visits to these IT parks and technology hubs. The Vice Chancellor remarked that, in this era of rapid technological change, the University remains fully committed to taking every possible step to equip its students with modern technology and prepare them to compete effectively in a fast-changing, technology-driven world.
