UoT Vice Chancellor Chairs 5th HRD Committee Meeting; Focuses on Faculty Development and Capacity Building

The University of Turbat (UoT) held the fifth meeting of its Human Resource Development (HRD) Committee on July 15, 2026 at the Vice Chancellor’s Secretariat, chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Abdul Saboor Baloch (TI), Dean, Faculty of Literature and Languages, Dr. Muhammad Tahir Hakeem, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Dr. Adeel Ahmed, Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics (who joined virtually), Dr. Muzaffir Hussain, Dean, Faculty of Law, Registrar Ganguzar Baloch and Director Finance Shahbek Syed.

During the session, the committee confirmed the minutes of its previous meeting and resolved key administrative and academic matters regarding faculty members currently pursuing MPhil and PhD studies abroad and within the country.

Addressing the committee, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan emphasized that strong human resource development is fundamental to elevating University to the level of leading higher education institutions in Pakistan.

To address contemporary HR challenges, streamline policy implementation, and promote a smart working culture, the forum proposed the establishment of a dedicated Directorate of Continuous Professional Development (CPD). According to the University spokesperson, the Committee members also recommended developing a comprehensive, goal-oriented training framework focusing on essential modern skills, including IT proficiency, soft skills, leadership, time management, and strategic planning to ensure staff remain competitive in an evolving academic landscape.
