Pakistan Bar Council Delegation Visits UoT Faculty of Law, Commends Academic Standards and Facilities

A high-level delegation from the Pakistan Bar Council (PBC), led by Council Member Advocate Munir Ahmed Khan Kakar, visited the Department of Law at the University of Turbat (UoT) on September 23, 2026 to review its academic standards, infrastructure, and statutory compliance.
Balochistan Bar Council Vice Chairman Advocate Jadain Dashti, Council Member Najeebullah Kakar, President of the Makran High Court Bar Association Advocate Saeed Faiz, and other senior legal practitioners were also present on the occasion.
Upon their arrival, the delegation was received by Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr. Kamal Ahmed, alongside Dean of the Faculty of Law Dr. Muzaffar Hussain, Chairman of the Law Department Mahmood Ameer, faculty member, Dr. Naseem Jan, Director Finance Shahbek Syed, Director Public Relations Ijaz Ahmed, and faculty members.
Briefing the visitors, Dr. Kamal Ahmed and Dr. Muzaffar Hussain highlighted the department's founding objectives, academic progress, infrastructure expansion, and the notable career achievements of its alumni.
During the visit, the delegation conducted a comprehensive inspection of the department’s facilities, including the law moot court, central and digital libraries, computer labs, classrooms, examination halls, faculty offices, girls' common room, prayer hall, and cafeteria.
The team evaluated student learning outcomes, faculty qualifications, curriculum quality, examination protocols, and admission procedures. They expressed overall satisfaction with the department's operations and its strict adherence to the mandatory regulatory standards set by the Pakistan Bar Council, while assuring ongoing support and guidance for future institutional growth.
Sharing his views, Advocate Munir Ahmed Khan Kakar expressed satisfaction at seeing UoT law graduates serving across Pakistan. He said that the enrollment of students from Quetta, Pishin, Khuzdar, and other regions of Pakistan alongside Makran reflects the institution's growing reputation for quality education. He praised the university's leadership and faculty, under Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan, for advancing higher education in a remote region.
Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr. Kamal Ahmed reaffirmed UoT’s commitment to continually raising the benchmark of legal education, saying that positive remarks from a member of statutory body like the PBC reinforces the university's standing.
The visit concluded with Dr. Kamal Ahmed expressing gratitude to the delegation and presenting them with commemorative shields on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor.
