UoT Vice-Chancellor Directs Removal of Technical Barriers in Admissions and Wider Access for Youth from Remote Areas

A review meeting of all academic and administrative heads was held on October 2, 2026, under the chairmanship of University of Turbat Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan, to promote higher education and research in the region and align university affairs with modern requirements. The meeting reviewed admissions progress for the Spring 2027 academic session, the smart online admission system, and the facilities available to applicants.

Registrar Ganguzar Baloch opened the meeting with a detailed briefing on the admission progress. Emphasizing the need to maintain the university's academic standards, the Vice-Chancellor directed all departments to further streamline the admission process and to take special measures to ensure that talented youth from remote areas can access the university's academic programs and, in turn, serve the nation.
He also directed that technical problems encountered while submitting applications through the online portal be resolved on a priority basis. Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan also apprised the participants of his recent visit to Quetta, where he attended the Universities Finance Commission meeting and met the Governor of Balochistan, the Provincial Minister for Education, and the Secretary of Education. He said the discussions were constructive and covered the university's financial stability, e-governance, full automation of administrative processes, and the permanent filling of vacant positions.
