University of Turbat Prioritizes Student Welfare: Female Students Liaison Office Holds Orientation Session on HEC Anti-Harassment Policy

Reaffirming its commitment to ensure a safe and favorable academic environment, the Female Students Liaison Office at the University of Turbat, under the supervision of the Directorate of Student Affairs, organized an orientation session on the Higher Education Commission’s (HEC) Anti-Harassment Policy on October 1, 2026.

Ms. Ruqia Mirwani, Chairperson of the Department of Education and Focal Person of the Female Students Liaison Office, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the policy framework and its implementation mechanisms across the campus. She elaborated on the legal definition of harassment, outlined the rights and responsibilities of students, and detailed the formal procedure for filing complaints. Female students actively participated in the session, engaging in interactive discussions regarding the practical application and safeguards provided under the policy.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Mirwani emphasized that under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan, the University of Turbat is fully committed to implementing HEC guidelines in letter and spirit. She reiterated that providing a secure, respectful, and favorable environment, where every student can pursue higher education with dignity and confidence, is a top institutional priority.
