The University of Turbat Quality Circle (UTQC) convened its 8th meeting on October 6, 2026, under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan, with Director Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) Dr. Riaz Ahmed leading the proceedings. The meeting reviewed institutional progress in quality assurance and advance the university's transition toward full academic and administrative digitalization by the end of this year.

According to the university spokesperson, Dr. Riaz Ahmed informed the meeting that the UTQC Secretariat and the QEC Office are now fully digitalized via the newly launched QEC Office Management System. Aligned with the HEC PSG-2023 standards and the UoT Strategic Plan 2026-2030, the system eliminates manual paperwork, reduces data duplication, and prevents reporting delays.

To further strengthen academic standards and student outcomes, the meeting approved several key strategic initiatives. These include introducing mandatory Artificial Intelligence courses across all academic programs starting in 2026, establishing an Alumni and Placement Office to track graduate employability, and implementing targeted measures to reduce student dropout rates. To enhance governance and transparency, the meeting decided to establish an open public disclosure mechanism for all university policies, decisions and quality assurance measures. The body proposed launching UoT Digital Services to provide IT solutions to stakeholders and external institutions as part of the university's social outreach. Reaffirming its commitment to student-centric growth, the UTQC agreed to conduct periodic monitoring and evaluation sessions to ensure the result-oriented implementation of the UoT Strategic Plan 2026-2030.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan commended the QEC team and UTQC members for their collective efforts in elevating the university's quality assurance framework.
