University of Turbat will set up CPEC Study Center in its main campus Turbat and Gwadar Campus. It was decided in the sixth meeting of academic council of Turbat University held on March 25,2017,in city campus while Prof Dr Abdul Razzaq Sabir was in the chair. The meeting attended by dean faculty of Commerce Law and Management sciences Dr Munir Ahmed Baloch, Registrar Dr Hanif Rahman, Controller Examinations Tanvir Ahmed, Director Finance Ghulam Farooq Baloch, Director Gwadar Campus Ijaz Ahmed, heads of teaching departments and Principals of affiliated Colleges. Vice Chancellor Dr Sabir said that Turbat University was working on a comprehensive plan for the promotion of higher education and research culture in the region. He said” under the CPEC study center variety of international and national conferences, seminars and programs on development activities would be organized in the university. Congratulating to faculty members and administrative staff on organizing 1st convocation of UoT successfully, the VC said that his institution received big appreciation and acknowledgement from all walks of life for conducting first graduation ceremony successfully with in just three years of start of UoT. “University ofTurbat is all capable to continue to shine and move forward and overcome any obstacles in our way with excellence in our sights; the reputation of our academic programs continues to improve; Earnest efforts are consistently underway to promote a vibrant research culture and provide a conducive environment to both its faculty members and students for exploration and innovative market oriented higher learning”. VC added. He said that Turbat University was striving hard to enhance the quality of education and no stone will be left unturned in this regard. Vice Chancellor informed the members of the meeting that his institution is going to conduct BA.B.Sc Examinations of affiliated colleges first time this year and all arrangements are completed to ensure cheating free Examinations system. The members of the meeting came on with valuable suggestions to further improve the quality of education in this far flung area of the country. The matters related to establishment of incubation under ORIC at UoT, admission against the seats reserved for the candidates belonging to other provinces, introducing new degree programs in the faculty of Science and Engineering and were also discussed in the meeting.
