The 1st part of UoT-Summer School 2018 concluded

The University of Turbat first time in its history organized a Summer School in collaboration with an organization UDaan. The first part of the summer school concluded and remaining sessions will be conducted in first and second week of August 2018. A good number of students from different private and public colleges, schools, academies and educational institutions across Balochistan have decided to become the part of summer school programs.
Summer School comprised on educational activities, interactive courses in which participants with a creative, innovative and entrepreneurial spirit come together in Turbat University for acquiring knowledge, enhance their skills, learn about well-being, art of philosophy, different writing styles in Balochi and English, understand the concept of creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship from the experts and to develop the entrepreneurial solutions to overcome contemporary challenges they face as a youth. In his short message congratulating the organizers of the summer school the UoT VC Prof Dr Abdul Razzaq Sabir said that “Besides providing knowledge about the scope of different fields of studies, this event will also give the students an opportunity to experience various aspects of university life and learn about facing challenges from different perspectives come in their life.”
Inaugurating the summer school on 21 July at university main campus, Faculty of Science and Engineering Dean Dr. Haneef Ur Rehman said that “The summer school is an educational program where the participants will get a chance to have lectures and workshops about innovative skills in various fields including Philosophy, Entrepreneurship, Digital media, Blogging, Digital skills for freelancing, Prose writing in Balochi, modern skills in computer sciences as well as biological sciences, last but not the least the way of knowledge acquiring and knowledge in this era of fast track technology.
Dr Haneef Ur Rahman thanked Ms Granaz Baloch founder of UDaan organization for cooperation and services rendered by her in organizing such a thoughtful event in the University of Turbat.
In first part of the summer School different sessions were conducted in which Danial Shah covered the theme of visual storytelling for becoming a good photographer, documentary and short movie maker.
Irum Ali briefed the participants how to write academic essays, tips or tricks of writing and the way of official emailing.
Noor Us Sabah facilitated the participants to learn how to draw your imagination by using different objects and how one can change the things visually by drawing on paper to design model structure.
Emina Baloch, a Student of McGill’s University and part of the Career Leadership Program trained the participants about various techniques of writing a good CV for job and internship program. She also shared her experiences as an international student in McGill’s University.
