University of Turbat Organized One Day Lecture Session on Growth of Knowledge: Challenges in Academic Research

The Department of Chemistry, University of Turbat organized one day lecture session by Prof. Dr. Abdul Wahab Suri on the Growth of Knowledge: Challenges in Academic Research. Prof. Dr. Abdul Wahab Suri told that The contemporary growth of knowledge has created a unique kind of ignorance which is the result of the compartmentalization of knowledge. Thus the role academia is not just protect our selves from ignorance but also from the overwhelming flow of information. At the end of session Dr. Haneef Ur Rehman Dean of Faculty of Science and Engineering thanked the Prof. Dr. Abdul Wahab Suri for coming in UoT and Shared very important knowledge to us.
Dr. Abdul Wahab Suri, a Professor from Karachi University said that the contemporary growth of knowledge has created a unique kind of ignorance which is the result of the compartmentalization of knowledge.
He said this while delivering a lecture on “The Growth of Knowledge: Challenges in Academic Research” at Department of Chemistry, University of Turbat on 8th November 2018. Dr Suri said academia was not just protecting the new generation from ignorance but also from the over flow of information. The lecture was attended by faculty member and students. Earlier in his welcome address Dr. Haneef Ur Rehman, the Dean Faculty of Science and Engineering thanked Dr. Suri for visiting the UoT and Sharing his knowledge and experiences on very important topic.
Dr. Suri appreciated the efforts of university management and academic staff for the growth of the university in short span of time.
The Dean also presented a souvenir of the guest.
