UoT’s VC presided over 10th meeting of Finance and Planning Committee

The 10th meeting of the Finance and Planning Committee of the University of Turbat (UoT) chaired by Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir, was held on 30th December 2019 at UoT. Addressing at the occasion VC said the development of any institution depends on better financial management and good governance and his institution would never compromise on financial probity. He said meritocracy and transparency were held uppermost in disbursing university’s budgets for the development of the campus infrastructure and promotion of higher education in this part of the country. Besides VC UoT the meeting was attended by Deputy Director Budget Higher Education (HEC) Syed Samer Sibtain, UoT’s Registrar Ghulam Farooq, Director Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) Prof Dr. Gul Hassan), UoT’s Dean Faculty of Science and Engineering Dr. Haneef Ur Rahman, UoT’s Director Finance Shahbeek Syed, Associate Prof Dr. Manzoor Ahmed from Lasbela University of Water, Agriculture and Marine Sciences (LUAWMS) Uthal, Chairperson Management Sciences department of UoT Dr. Waseem Barkat and Principal Government Girls College Turbat Ms. Zohra Baloch.
VC added that financial discipline and proper planning was an integral part of the Turbat University due to which the university’s development projects are being completed in due course of time without compromising over quality. VC maintained that academic excellence was in its full swing in Turbat University and inclusive planning was underway for the further growth of the university. Besides confirming the minutes of the 9th meeting of the Finance and Planning Committee, the house also discussed the budget of UoT’s Sub-Campus at Panjgur. The matter related to finalizing the investment of Employees Fund, Affiliation Fee and other charges of affiliated Colleges, Up-gradation of Ministerial Staff, relief in payment of Tuition Fee to dependents of UoT’s employees and remuneration for keynote speaker/subject expert.
In the end vice chancellor thanked the participants of the meeting for their active participation and suggestions for the development of Turbat University.
