Annual Com-day Celebrated in Gwadar Campus of UoT

The Annual Com-day 2021 was celebrated in Gwadar Campus of the University of Turbat (UoT) on 28th February 2021. The event was jointly organized by the faculty members and students of Main Campus and Gwadar Campus of UoT.

Incharge Department of Commerce UoT’s Main Campus Essa Karim, In-Charge Department of Commerce UoT’s Gwadar Campus Mujahid Amjid, faculty members Dr. Mushtaq Badini, Waris Rasheed, Jameel Ahmed, M. Wasim, teachers, and students participated in the event in large number.

Expressing his greetings to the faculty and students via e-message on the occasion of Com-day, VC UoT Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir said that his administration would use all available resources for the promotion of commerce education in all varsity’s campuses.

The Com-day was decorated by various colorful events which were inaugurated by Essa Karim with cutting the ribbon. In his welcome speech on the occasion, Mujahid Amjid thanked guests, faculty members, and students for participating in Annual Com-day in UoT’s Gwadar Campus.  He said that “we live at distant to each other but today Commerce united us and “We Are One”. Sharing views on the occasion Essa Karim expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the warm welcome and arrangements made by the Department of Commerce, Gwadar Campus to celebrate Com-day in an unforgettable way.

A Com-walk, led by Dr. Mushtaq Badini, Essa Karim, and Mujahid Amjid started from the department of Education and ended at the main entrance of the campus building, where they gathered and spelled out Com-Day with Human shape.

Games round was hosted and designed by students of the main campus. Tableau, Drama, Speeches, Songs, Humorous Poetry, and Skits were also part of the event. The social issues faced by women in acquiring education and the role of women in commerce were effectively portrayed by the various creative performances by the students. The theme of the event was “Commerc’ian does not seek jobs, they create jobs”.

One of the fascinating, enjoyable, and infotainment sessions “Quiz on Commerce’s subject” hosted and designed by Mr. Jameel Ahmed received a round of applause from the audience.

Some outdoor activities were also organized in the connection of Com-day. Participants of Com-day visited Senator Ishaq Cricket stadium and performed “traditional Balochi Do Chaapi” and played outdoor games. They also witnessed mesmerizing sunset scene at Sunset Park on Koh-e-Bateel.

In his closing remarks, Essa Karim thanked Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir and management of UoT’s Gwadar Campus for providing opportunities and excellent facilities to celebrate Com-day in Gwadar campus.
