Assets transferred from UoT’s Gwadar Campus to University of Gwadar

The vice-chancellor (VC) of the University of Gwadar (UoGr) Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir called upon vice-chancellor of University of Turbat (UoT) Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad at UoT on 11th November 2021.

Besides, enhancing mutual cooperation for the promotion of higher education in the region and the development of the two universities, other administrative and academic matters were also discussed during the meeting.

Both vice-chancellors signed the documents of transferring the assets of UoT's Gwadar Campus to the University of Gwadar on the occasion. In accordance with the University of Gwadar Act 2018, the vice-chancellors of both universities mutually agreed to transfer the existing properties, staff, buildings, books, furniture & fixture, rights, liabilities, and other assets of UoT’s Gwadar Campus to the University of Gwadar. The University of Gwadar formally came into being in the last week of October 2021 subsequently, the Gwadar Campus of the University of Turbat was officially absorbed into the University of Gwadar. Honorable Governor Balochistan had appointed Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir as vice-chancellor of the University of Gwadar and Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir assumed the office as the first vice-chancellor of the University of Gwadar on 29th October 2021.  The vice-chancellor of the University of Turbat Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad assured full support to his counterpart Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir for the progression of the University of Gwadar. Dean Faculty of Legal Education Prof. Dr. Gul Hassan, Registrar Ganguzar Baloch, Director Finance Shahbek Syed, Director Public Relations & Ex-Director UoT's Gwadar Campus Ijaz Ahmed, and PSO to Vice-Chancellor Chaker Hyder from the University of Turbat were also present on the occasion.
