A two-day cascading Training workshop held at the University of Turbat

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Turbat (UoT) Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad said that we are committed to promoting the quality of education in our university, and in this rapidly technologically changing world, we are not only responsible for imparting up-to-date knowledge but also producing capable and skilled students to meet the challenges of the contemporary era. He expressed these views on the occasion of the closing ceremony of a two-day cascading Training workshop organized by the University of Turbat at UoT from September 18-19, 2023 in collaboration with the University of Balochistan (UoB) and the U.S. Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP).
The faculty members from different departments of UoT participated in the workshop. The theme of the workshop was "Promoting Innovative Teaching in Higher Education Institutions of Pakistan: An Active Learning Approach for Faculty Development".
Besides enhancing faculty development and equipping educators with contemporary effective teaching strategies to improve the quality of education in the region, this training workshop was also aimed to provide a platform to the faculty members of UoT for sharing innovative teaching practices, exchanging ideas, and learning from each other's experiences.
Vice Chancellor urged that teaching is a dynamic process and faculty members should equip themselves with the latest technology of teaching methods in order to empower our students to meet the challenges faced nationally and globally.
Dr. Jan Muhammad emphasized that faculty members should replicate skills and the latest teaching methodology gained by them in this two-day workshop to enhance quality teaching and learning at UoT
He distributed certificates among organizers, resource persons, focal persons, and participants of the workshop. This event was part of the training workshops being administered by the USEFP under the U.S.-Pakistan University Partnership Grants Programs funded by the U.S. Mission in Pakistan.
During the workshop, UoB was represented by Prof. Dr. Jameel Ahmed and Assistant Professor Mr. Furqan ul Haq. Mr. Fida Hussain and Mr. Ubaid Ali from the University of Gwadar served as resource persons, while Mr. Malik Dad and Mr. Shahal Syed from UoT served as focal persons of the event.
