University of Turbat secured 1st position in Short Film Competition and 3rd position in Declamation Contest

The University of Turbat (UoT) has secured 1st position in the qualifying round at the Regional level in the Short Film Competition, organized by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) HQ for the Embassy of the Russian Federation, Islamabad. The UoT also won the 3rd position in the Declamation Contest across Balochistan. All universities of Balochistan participated in these competitions.
According to the details, the University of Turbat’s Photographer, Mr. Dosta has participated and secured 1st position in the qualifying round at the Regional level in the Short Film Competition, while Miss Amreen Shaukat from the UoT’s English Department won the 3rd position in the English Declamation Contest, organized by NAB (Balochistan).
Mr. Dosta and Miss Amreen Shaukat were honored with awards during a seminar in commemoration of International Anti-corruption Day 2023, organized by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Balochistan on December 9, 2023, at Quetta.
As a part of collective global efforts, the Embassy of the Russian Federation, Islamabad has planned to organize Short Film and Poster Competitions to engage young people of the age group from 14 to 35 years in anti-corruption activities in the field of combating corruption. The nominee of the University of Turbat also participated in the competition and secured the 1st position at the regional level.
Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad, Vice Chancellor of the University of Turbat along with academic and administrative staff expressed their appreciation and gratitude to Mr. Dosta and Miss Amreen Shaukat for their achievements. In his gratitude message, the Vice Chancellor said that combating corruption in Pakistan is not solely the responsibility of NAB, every citizen should play a role to eliminate corruption in Pakistan. He reiterated the University of Turbat's commitment to collaborating with NAB in raising awareness against corruption among the public to make a corruption-free Pakistan.
