Vice Chancellor urges good governance and administrative excellence at Turbat University

During the closing ceremony of a two-day training workshop at the University of Turbat, Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad, the Vice Chancellor, highlighted the essential role of good governance and administrative excellence for the progress of the University of Turbat. He reiterated his administration's commitment to conducting capacity-building training workshops at regular intervals for administrative staff and faculty members at UoT.

A dynamic two-day training workshop on "Secretarial Skills and Professional Development" was held from 15th to 16th January at the University of Turbat. The officers and staff from various administrative units of the University participated in the workshop.

Emphasizing the university's commitment to continuous improvement and growth, the vice-chancellor highlighted the significance of key principles such as ethics in the workplace, self-management, trust and relationship building, conceptual and technical skills, teamwork, and positive approaches in carrying out responsibilities to ensure a brighter and more prosperous future of the institution.  In a progressive step towards administrative excellence at UoT, Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad encouraged each participant to replicate the acquired skills and knowledge in their respective roles.

The event covered various modules but not limited to file management, conducting official meetings, drafting minutes of meetings, human resource management, time management, effective record management, professional development, governance, and leadership at universities. Expressing gratitude, the Vice Chancellor acknowledged the efforts of Dr. Riaz Ahmed, Director QEC, and workshop coordinator, as well as Mr. Manzoor Hussain, the workshop's resource person and Director HRM at BUITEMS, and participants for their collective role in organizing an impactful training workshop at the University of Turbat.
