Institute of Balochi Language and Culture Holds 4th Board of Studies Meeting

Turbat (June 3, 2024) The Institute of Balochi Language and Culture (IBLC) at the University of Turbat (UoT) conducted its 4th Board of Studies meeting on 3rd June 2024 in the university’s video conference room.
The meeting was presided over by Prof. Dr. Abdul Saboor Baloch, Director of IBLC and Dean, the Faculty of Literature and Languages at UoT. Besides, other board members, Dr. Zia Ur Rahman Baloch, Assistant Professor from the Pakistani Languages and Literature Department at the Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU), Islamabad, participated in the meeting as an external expert via video link. The meeting focused on aligning the BS (Balochi) program syllabus with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) undergraduate education policy.
During the meeting, the syllabus, titles, and outlines of various courses for the BS, M.Phil., and PhD degree programs were thoroughly reviewed in line with HEC guidelines. Dr. Abdul Saboor Baloch said that IBLC was playing an important role in promoting the Balochi language and culture, along with research activities. He emphasized the university's commitment to promoting quality research, advanced research methodologies, and market-oriented academic programs.
In conclusion, Dr. Baloch expressed his gratitude to the Board members for their valuable suggestions and contributions to the growth of the IBLC.
