Management Sciences Department Holds 7th Board of Studies Meeting

The Department of Management Sciences at the University of Turbat (UoT) conducted its 7th meeting of the Board of Studies on the 28th of June 2024 at UoT. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Noroz Khan, Acting Head of the Management Sciences Department, and attended by Dr. Muhammad Shujaat Mubarik, Associate Professor at Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University, UK (online), Dr. Adeel Ahmed, Associate Professor and Dean Graduate Studies at UoT (online), Dr. Riaz Ahmed, Assistant Professor and Director Quality Enhancement Cell at UoT, Mr. Siraj Ahmed, Lecturer and Director Procurement at UoT, Mr. Abdul Samad, Assistant Professor at Attashad Degree College Turbat, and Mr. Waseem Raja, Lecturer at Govt Degree College Gwadar.
The Board reviewed and resolved the proposed course code scheme and ensured alignment of the undergraduate program offered by the Management Sciences Department with HEC's Undergraduate Education Policy 2023.
The Board also recommended the initiation of a two-year Associate Degree in Business (ADB) program for students with a higher secondary school certificate (HSSC).
Keeping in view the market and industry demand and achieving departmental growth objectives, the Board also proposed introducing three new specializations (Entrepreneurship, Supply Chain Management, and Digital Technology Management) for the BBA program.
