Two Female Faculty Members of UoT Successfully Complete Their PhD Programs

The University of Turbat (UoT) proudly announces the remarkable academic achievement of two of its female faculty members, Dr. Hani Abul Hasan and Dr. Mahnaz Aslam, who have successfully completed their Ph.D. programs.

Dr. Hani Abul Hasan, Assistant Professor in the Department of English, defended her Ph.D. research thesis titles, "A Comparative Analysis of Subaltern Voices in Chinua Achebe's Things Fall Apart, Paul Scott's The Raj Quartet, and Arundhati Roy's The Ministry of Utmost Happiness," on December 4, 2024, at Atilim University, Turkey.
Similarly, Dr. Mahnaz Aslam, Assistant Professor in the Department of Education, successfully defended her Ph.D. thesis, titled, "The Psychodynamics of the Professional Challenges Faced by Women Leaders in Higher Education Institutions: Evidence from Balochistan, Pakistan," at Jinnah Women's University, Karachi, on February 13, 2025.

Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor of UoT, along with Dr. Mansoor Ahmed, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Abdul Saboor (TI), Dean, Faculty of Literature and Languages, and Dr. Muhammad Tahir Hakeem, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, extended their heartfelt congratulations to both scholars for their outstanding academic accomplishments. The university community, including faculty members and administrative staff, also expressed their appreciation for the diligence and academic achievements of the scholars.
Speaking on the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor said that this achievement is a source of great pride for the University of Turbat. He highlighted that the successful completion of Ph.D. degrees by these two female faculty members will significantly contribute to enhancing the university’s academic and research landscape. He further reiterated UoT’s commitment to promoting a culture of academic excellence, encouraging faculty development, and supporting women scholars in higher education.
