The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Turbat, Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan has said that every possible measure would be taken to ensure effective and efficient administration while striving for academic excellence at the university. He emphasized that there would be no compromise in ensuring high standards in academic and administrative affairs at the university.

He expressed these views while presiding over the second meeting of the University of Turbat Quality Circle (UTQC) held on February 13, 2025, in the university’s video conference room.

The UTQC is a platform to review the university’s ongoing quality enhancement initiatives and discuss strategies for further improving academic standards, administrative efficiency, and institutional development.

The meeting reviewed the progress of institutional quality enhancement initiatives and reaffirmed the commitment to continuous improvement and excellence.

The Vice-Chancellor emphasized the need to close the loop on all quality assurance activities, including Institutional Performance and Enhancement Review (RIPE), Programme Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE), and Self-Assessment Reports (SAR), ensuring that each initiative translates into meaningful institutional development. He urged stakeholders to take a balanced approach, focusing on improvements rather than overstating weaknesses, and called for continued collaboration to strengthen the university’s academic and administrative frameworks.

During the meeting, participants formally endorsed the minutes of the first UTQC meeting, reviewed the action taken report, and discussed the ongoing implementation of the HEC Revamped Quality Assurance Framework.

Director Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), Dr. Riaz Ahmed presented updates on RIPE and PREE, with clear milestones set for SAR, accreditation renewals, and institutional effectiveness measures.

The Vice-Chancellor commended the QEC for its proactive role and reiterated the university’s commitment to sustained monitoring, accountability, and stakeholder engagement to uphold national quality assurance standards. He expressed his gratitude to the participants for their presence and for sharing valuable suggestions aimed at enhancing institutional effectiveness and the university’s progress.

The meeting was attended by the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Mansoor Ahmed, Registrar, deans, directors, and heads of various academic and administrative departments of the university.
