UoT English Department Holds 7ᵗʰ Board of Studies Meeting

The Department of English, under the leadership of Dr. Shah Mir Baloch, Head of the English Department, convened its 7ᵗʰ Board of Studies meeting in the Video Conferencing Room, University of Turbat (UoT) on August 18, 2025.
The agenda centred on approval of the syllabi for the newly introduced Ph.D. in English Literature, BS English Linguistics, and BS English Literature programmes, with a view to aligning them with contemporary academic and research standards.
Esteemed external subject experts, Prof. Dr. Mehwish Malghani and Prof. Dr. Liaquat Channa joined the meeting virtually and provided critical academic insights. Internal members in attendance included Mr. Mazhar Gichki, Ms. Nargis Nisar, Mr. Amjad Habib, Mr. Jamal Manzoor, and Dr. Hani Abul Hassan.
The participants deliberated extensively on curricular frameworks, learning outcomes, and implementation strategies. The subject experts delivered their invaluable recommendations to ensure academic rigour, relevance, and pedagogical innovation.
The meeting concluded with a formal vote of thanks to the Chair.
