A one-day workshop on “Strengthening Minds and Building Future” was organized by the Directorate of Student Affairs at the University of Turbat (UoT) on August 27, 2025. The event aimed to equip students with essential knowledge and practical tools to manage mental well-being, handle academic and professional challenges, contribute positively to their personal and academic growth, and while also providing psychological counseling to help prevent involvement in unlawful activities and promote a pro-state narrative. Students from all departments of the university actively participated in the workshop, making it a vibrant and interactive session.

Renowned Clinical Psychologist Ms. Asifa Faqir and Organizational Psychologist Ms. Mahnoor Wahid served as the resource persons of the workshop. They delivered insightful sessions on identifying the symptoms of mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, stress, and panic disorders, while highlighting practical strategies for overcoming these issues. The workshop also addressed challenges such as academic pressure, job-hunting stress, and social anxieties, offering students realistic approaches to deal with these concerns effectively.

Through engaging in different activities and interactive discussions, students learned practical methods to strengthen their mental resilience and maintain a balanced lifestyle.

The workshop concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, during which both psychologists responded with professionalism.

Vice Chancellor of UoT, Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan, commended the efforts of the Directorate of Student Affairs and the resource persons for organizing such a meaningful and impactful workshop. He emphasized that such initiatives play a vital role in preparing students not only for academic excellence but also for facing real-life challenges with confidence and a healthy mindset.
