Turbat University Faculty Member Manzoor Ahmed Completes PhD in Teacher Education

Dr. Manzoor Ahmed, faculty member of the Department of Education, University of Turbat, has successfully completed his PhD in Teacher Education from Iqra University, Karachi, under the supervision of Dr. Razia Fakir Mohammad. His doctoral thesis, titled “Exploring Student-Teachers’ Experiences About the Efficacy of Four-Year B.Ed. Program in Preparing Teachers to Teach in the 21st Century,” was publicly defended on January 3, 2026, at Iqra University, Karachi. The Vice Chancellor, University of Turbat, Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan, along with Dr. Kamal Ahmed, Pro Vice Chancellor, Dr. Muhammad Tahir Hakeem, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Dr. Mahnaz Aslam, Chairperson, Education Department, faculty members, and administrative staff, congratulated Dr. Manzoor Ahmed on this significant academic achievement.

Highlighting the importance of PhD-qualified faculty for a university, the Vice Chancellor remarked that the increasing number of PhD-qualified scholars at the University of Turbat would expedite the institution’s development and further enhance the quality and pace of research activities at the University. He expressed his confidence that the presence of seasoned scholars like Dr. Manzoor Ahmed would initiate a new era of academic excellence at the Education Department.
