Turbat University Vice Chancellor Chairs High-Level Meeting to Outline Roadmap for Academic Year 2027

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Turbat (UoT), Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan, chaired a high-level meeting at the campus on August 3, 2026 to deliberate on strategic initiatives aimed at elevating the quality, relevance, and national standing of the University, under the UoT Strategic Plan 2026-30. The meeting focused on aligning the university’s curriculum with national development priorities and evolving workforce demands, with a strong emphasis on increasing student employability through practical skills.
The meeting was attended by Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Kamal Ahmed, Dean, Faculty of Literature and Languages Dr. Abdul Saboor (TI), Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences Dr. Muhammad Tahir Hakeem, Dean, Faculty of Law, Dr. Muzaffir Hussain, Registrar Ganguzar Baloch, Direct Finance, Shabek Syed, Controller of Examinations, Dr. Abdul Majid Nasir, Director ORIC, Dr. Muhammad Yaseen, and the heads of various academic and administrative departments.
Speaking at the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan urged faculty and administrative heads to accelerate collaborative efforts in winning national and international research projects, expanding high-impact publications, and upgrading MPhil and PhD programs. He also emphasized the need to increase student enrollment, secure academic program accreditations, and attain HEC recognition for UoT’s research journals.
Reaffirming UoT’s commitment to quality enhancement, he underscored the compulsory implementation of the Outcome-Based Education framework to ensure the national and global recognition of UoT graduates.
During the meeting, participants proposed key recommendations for introducing modern academic programs aligned with HEC guidelines and market needs. The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to expanding campus infrastructure, and nurturing a favorable teaching and research environment at the campus. They also thoroughly deliberated preparations for the Spring 2027 admissions and progress updates on the complete digitalization of the university's admission systems.
