Turbat University Steps Up Reforms: AI Integration and Accreditation Drive for Education Programs

In line with ongoing efforts to implement the University of Turbat's Strategic Plan 2026-2030, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan chaired a key meeting at the VC Secretariat on August 4, 2026.

The meeting was attended by Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Kamal Ahmed, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Dr. Muhammad Tahir Hakeem, Registrar Ganguzar Baloch, Director, Quality Enhancement Cell, Dr. Riaz Ahmed, and Chairperson, Education Department, Dr. Mahnaz Aslam.
The forum took several important decisions aimed at streamlining and accelerating the accreditation process and integrating AI into the curriculum for various programs offered by the Education Department, in order to ensure compliance with national educational standards and HEC guidelines.
Participants carried out a detailed assessment of the current curriculum's alignment with national professional standards for teacher education.
They reviewed library resources, digital classrooms, IT facilities, and requirements for senior faculty positions.
The meeting further examined progress on documentation required by the accreditation council.
The Vice Chancellor assured full support and guidance to address existing gaps, improve the quality of practicum training, and strengthen partnerships with local schools to support student-teaching modules.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan informed the forum that the University's recent Senate meeting, chaired by Governor of Balochistan Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, had highly commended the University's Strategic Plan 2026-2030, describing it as a clear roadmap toward quality, market-driven education, meaningful research, and developing state-of-the-art infrastructure.
Earlier, Chairperson of the Education Department Dr. Mahnaz Aslam briefed the forum on the strengths and challenges faced by her department.
