Education Development Session held in UoT’s Gwadar Campus

A session on Educational Awareness and Development was held in Gwadar Campus of University of Turbat (UoT) on 12th April, 2019 which was hosted by the Department of Education in collaboration with the Agha Khan University Institute for Educational Development (AKU-IED), Pakistan. A two member team from AKU-IED which included Ms. Ghazala Hamayun Assistant Registrar AKU-IED and Mirza Rahman Baig Senior Assistance Registrar Office visited Gwadar Campus for cooperation in organizing awareness session on educational development. The purpose of the session was to share experiences and suggestions that how teachers education in the context of limited resources can be improved in a sustainable manner in the remote areas of Pakistan.

Ms. Ghazala Hamayun, Director Campus Ijaz Ahmed and in-charge Education Department Ms Durjan Gichki shared views at this occasion. The speakers shared views on developing best teachers, educators and education managers as leader to improve the quality of teacher’s education; and implement innovative and contextually relevant school improvement models in the under-served and hard-to-access areas.

Ms. Ghazal responded the queries asked by the students on various scholarship opportunities available in AKU-IED for the students of underprivileged areas. The session was also attended by UoT Deputy Registrar Ganguzar Baloch, In-charge Computer Sciences Department Hafeez Mubarak, faculty member Irshad Buledi, Fida Hussain and students of Education Department. At the end the Director Campus presented shield to the visitor.
