Two Days Training Workshop for Teachers held at UoT Gwadar Campus

(Gwadar) University of Turbat (UoT) Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir has said that Turbat University was committed to enhance the working capacity of faculty members and administrative staff of his institution and affiliated colleges by conducting training workshops and refreshment courses in regular interval with the support of Higher Education Commission (HEC). “Established in January 2017 the Gwadar Campus of Turbat University with qualified energetic young faculty members and devoted administrative is providing quality education to the people of the area at their doorstep.” Said Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir while addressing in closing ceremony of a Two Days Training Workshop on “Quality in Professional Teaching” on 5th October 2019.
The workshop was organized at Gwadar Campus by UoT’s Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) in collaboration with UoT Gwadar Campus on 4th and 5th October 2019. The UoT’s Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir graced the event as chief guest while Principal GDA College Prof Dr. Zafar Iqbal was the guest of honor on the occasion. Sharing his best wishes on the occasion of International Teachers Day VC UoT said institutions of Higher learning flourish on the resourcefulness of their faculty and they are always known as lifeline of an Educational Institution. He said that “teaching is an exciting, dignified and a challenging career, it is full of personal rewards and a chance to encourage and support others to achieve their maximum ability and potentials, therefore UoT has always put great emphasis in organizing training programs for its faculty members and administrative staff as well.” While addressing at this occasion Principal GDA College Prof Dr Zafar Iqbal said “Trained and qualified faculty members are the backbone of education institutions and such training workshop will provide an opportunity to participants to enhance their teaching skills in accordance with needs of the hours.” He said that “Teachers always go with positive approach and he never thinks with negativity to harm others and institutions.” Appreciating the efforts of VC UoT Prof Dr Abdul Razzaq Sabir and his team for quick development of Turbat University in short time he said that he was glad to see the zeal and commitment of the people of area for acquiring education. In his welcome speech Gwadar Campus Director Ijaz Ahmed thanked chief guest, guest of honor, resource persons, media persons and participants for their attendance in the event. He called for close collaboration among educational institutions in Gwadar for the promotion of quality education in Gwadar and surrounding areas. Giving their feedback on two days training workshop the participants requested vice chancellor for conducting more training program of same kind in future.
QEC coordinator at Gwadar Campus Mr. Irshad Buledi, In-charge Commerce Department Mr. Mujahid Hussain and Lecturer Management Sciences Department Mr. Fida Hussain were the resource persons of the training program while besides Teaching Fellows and Visiting Teachers of Gwadar Campus, the teachers from affiliated colleges also participated in the training workshop. Teaching Fellow Ms Mahdeem performed the responsibility of stage secretary in the closing ceremony.
At the end the certificates were distributed among the participants and resource persons by the VC UoT and Principal GDA College. Dr. Sabir also presented the commemorative shield and newsletter of the campus to Dr. Zafar Iqbal. Meanwhile they also planted trees in the campus in connection with Green Gwadar Program.
