The VC visits Gwadar Campus

Vice chancellor (VC) University of Turbat (UoT) Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad paid his first visit at UoT’s Gwadar Campus on 5th April, 2021 after assuming charge as vice chancellor. Besides having interactive session with students, he also met with faculty members and administrative staff.

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Jan Muhammad said that he would work with a commitment to bring UoT on par with the best universities of the country with the support of faculty members and administrative staff. 

He said advanced digital technologies would be introduced to create an attractive academic environment on all campuses of the university.VC said earnest efforts would be taken to develop the human resources of the University.

The VC was confident that his faculty and students would uphold the highest standards of academic excellence in Gwadar Campus and the faculty, students and admin staff had the potential to play a significant role in the development of the campus. He emphasized continuing the best efforts to improve teaching, learning, and research activities in the varsity campus in Gwadar. 

He said that all campuses of the university would be equipped with enhanced WiFi coverage in order to enable the students and faculty to have the fastest and easy access to up-to-date knowledge and information. He instructed the IT section to send a proper request to the PERN and PTCL to double the current Bandwidth of the Gwadar Campus. VC also directed to install more Wifi access points at campus and hostels to further improve the access and speed of the internet.

Earlier, during the meeting, the campus director Ijaz Ahmed briefed the vice chancellor regarding the progress of the campus in the last four years. VC assured to resolve the problems faced by the students and employees of the campus very soon. Meanwhile, the vice chancellor visited different parts of the campus and also planted a tree at the campus.
