1st academic session of Model School inaugurated in Turbat University.

The opening ceremony of 1st academic session of the University Model School was held at the University of Turbat (UoT) here on the 14th of April, 2022. Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad, Vice-Chancellor, University of Turbat inaugurated the 1st academic session of the school by cutting the ribbon in the presence of Dr. Mansoor Ahmed, UoT’s Pro Vice-Chancellor, Ganguzar Baloch, Registrar, Prof. Dr. Abdul Saboor Baloch, Dean, Faculty of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities, Dr. Waseem Barkat, Dean, Faculty of Economics, Commerce and Business Administration, Dr. Adeel Ahmed, Dean Academics, Shakeel Ahmed, Controller of Examinations, Dr. Ghulam Jan, Director ORIC, Dr. Riaz Ahmed, Director Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), Mahnaz Bashir, Principal, University Model School, Chaker Hyder, PSO to Vice-Chancellor, heads of various departments, parents and newly admitted students of the school.
Speaking on the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor emphasized the importance of parent’s involvement and support towards the progress of the school and the growth of their children.
He said that after showcasing excellent performance in the field of higher education at the national level, now the University of Turbat has started a new chapter and set a new benchmark for bringing about improvement in the field of elementary education as well in this region. The establishment of a model school in the university is the part of university’s strategic plan. He assured the parents to introduce innovative ways of teaching and learning at the school.
Ms. Mahnaz Bashir, Principal, University model school said that the first academic session’s activities have formally been started and we are working with the vision to provide a facilitative and creative learning environment to the students at the school. She also informed the parents regarding activities and facilities available at the school. She said that it will be a smart school for the future generations of this region. The services of highly qualified, trained, and cooperative teaching staff is hired. She added that a standard syllabus for activity-based reading and learning methods will be introduced. State-of-the-art classrooms and other modern equipment and accessories are available in the school. She further said that a hygienic, safe and caring environment, co-curricular, extra-curricular, and creative activities will be the distinguished features of the model school.
