Turbat University Students Turn Business Ideas into Reality with Zaaran Perfumes Ready to Launch

Demonstrating their entrepreneurial skills, the creative and innovative students of the Commerce Department at the University of Turbat (UoT) are all set to launch various business ventures during their studies, including an indigenously developed brand, Zaaran Perfumes.

Zaaran Perfumes is currently in its testing phase and will soon be available for sale in Turbat and nationwide. The brand reflects the students’ commitment to creativity and indigenous production, symbolizing the entrepreneurial spirit that Turbat University strives to impart in its students.

According to details, the Department of Commerce organized a Business Idea Competition on November 4, 2025, at the university’s Video Conference Room. Students from different semesters of the BS Commerce program participated enthusiastically, presenting innovative business ideas and launching their own brands and products.

According to the university spokesperson, under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan, and with the dedicated support of the faculty, the University of Turbat is focusing on promoting an entrepreneurial mindset among students, encouraging them to become job creators rather than job seekers. The university is also committed to equipping students with modern skills and technological knowledge, including artificial intelligence, to meet the evolving demands of the job market.

Among the presented business plans, Team Sar-Sabz Production proposed the development of animated cartoons in the Balochi language, Team Drive Boo introduced an app designed to reduce transportation and delivery costs, and Team Trading presented an app connecting wholesalers and retailers in Turbat city. Mr. Feroz, a BS 8th-semester student and leader of Sar-Sabz Production, secured the first position in the competition.

The panel of judges included Dr. Mushtaq Muhammad Badini, Chairperson of the Commerce Department, along with faculty members Dr. Abdul Majid Nasir, Mr. Rehmat Ullah, Mr. Riaz Ahmed, and Mr. Munir Ahmed, evaluated each business plan based on its feasibility, market potential, creativity, and sustainability. Director Public Relations, Mr. Ijaz Ahmed, was also present on the occasion.

In his concluding remarks, Dr. Mushtaq Muhammad Badini expressed gratitude to Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan, the participating students, judges, and the IT Department for their support in successfully organizing this event, which aims to promote self-employment and entrepreneurial growth among students.

The event was hosted by Mr. Ajmeer Ahmed and Mr. Abdul Hakeem, students of the 6th semester BS Commerce.
